"On my first outing wearing these jeans on my bike, I got caught in a short rainstorm. I have to say I was very disappointed. The Jeans leaked at the crotch and down the seam of my left leg which left me sitting in a cold puddle. This was the first time I wore them brand new. "

"Brendan, these jeans are water-resistant, not waterproof. They will be ok in a light shower and the water will repel off the surface but in a rainstorm, it will eventually penetrate through the material. If rain looks likely then you should still carry waterproofs.
