"Although obviously good material, and big enough in the legs, I found the fault to be the distance between crotch and waistband. This is too short for big guys like me and would result in the old bum being rather too much on show when riding the bike! I'd buy them if three or four inches inches were added to this measurement - they'd fit properly then - as it is, sadly I've sent them back."

"What a shame, they are a perfect fit, comfortable for a wide fit, exactly what it says on the box, easy to put on but Waterproof they are not. Yesterday wore them for the first time in the wet, after just a few moments in heavy rain the water poured in, the foam on the bottom o0f the boot just sucked it up so both my feet were soaked. Such a shame, otherwise it would have been a five star rating."

The manual is a standard booklet that is used on different garments and the internal label on the garment is the one to go by. The protectors will have printing on the back indicating that they are level 2. If you require any further assistance, please let us know."

"Great customer service when I had to amend my order. Quick and easy especially being close to Christmas! However the jeans themselves weren't the right fit. I bought these for my husband and, being new to biking, I thought I'd be ok getting him his actual jean size. I was wrong! Need to go a couple waist sizes higher I think. Nice colour, look nice and comfy, just got the wrong size! "

"Owned for about 18 months. Size was accurate on mine (presumably either lucky or bought before sizing issues crept in). Mine is not especially waterproof but I'd had it several months before I needed to test this capacity in anything before a light drizzle. Water soaked through around the air vent zips and the adjusters on the upper arms in actual rain, not sure if a design flaw or an issue with my specific jacket, as the description lists a removable membrane but I only seemed to have a thermal lining..? I just wear a diferent shirt and change when I get to work instead. Seems to be decently wind proof and keeps fairly warm even without the thermal liner. Would definitely consider replacing it with either the Tourmax Evo or Urban Evo when it wears out fully, as the velcro portions are starting to rip from the garment and 'fluff out', reducing effectiveness."

"First off good points these fit true to size especially those of us short in the leg Bad points the text says "CE Approved for PPE - AA Rated" but the label on the trousers say A rated only I bought these because they seemed to be a good buy for the protection level. My other grip is the bottom of the trousers are large when you zip them up with no pop stud or even Velcro to close the gap so you get a nice cool draft up you legs nice in hot weather put not nice in the cooler days"

"Cant fault JTS, delivery was swift and service excellent. Only issue I find is the with the design of the Trousers. The bottom of the leg is only secured by a small piece of Velcro at the bottom no zip like all the other motorcycle trousers I have bought previously. Which when worn sticks out at top of the flap and looks odd and don't make you feel confident that it will stay secured in the wind. I had the upper and middle part of the flap stitched before I was prepared to wear them. The bottom is quite wide so can still get them on and over my boots. Also another small thing that would also improve the trousers would be to remove the flap behind the zip at the front of the trousers as the whole point of these trousers is to let in air so don't see the point of a flap behind the zip like you have on a a pair of waterproof trousers. So I would recommend that Oxford update the design. But on the plus side I have worn them in recent heat and they did generally let in air through the mesh parts of the trousers and was quite cooling. I gave it a 3 start for the trousers could have been a 5 Although I would happily give 5 stars to JTS for service "

The velcro overlap is limited and I have had to cover part of the inner facing hook side to avoid sock contact, and extend it on the outer edge to create fuller contact. Richa are usually good with their sizing, but in this instance I fail to see how a size 47 boot would have such a narrow calf fiment."

"Bought this fleece and took it straight on a 7 day ,1600 mile, tour of Wales and the South West as my one and only jacket for the week. It’s done well. It’s comfy, and keeps you warm enough(with a couple of t shirts underneath) while riding on days sometimes as cold as 12 degrees. Obviously not waterproof, but doesn’t claim to be This is the 2.0 version, longer than the original as I understand but in my opinion still a few inches too short. Also the full length of the zip is exposed which despite having a tank pad started scratching my tank significantly. I ended up having to put strips of electrical tape on my tank. All in all not bad, but for the price not quite refined enough. "

Although these jeans have several options for placement of included knee protection none was quite right for me. Size wise I think I should have gone for a 16. The other note should be, they sit very low on the waist/hips leaving me feeling exposed. On the positive, the return was very simple and my account credited almost immediately. "Nice gloves, well made, good lightweight leather, good knuckle protection, prompt delivery and good communication. BUT. Ordered 4xl and received snug 3xl at best. Old summer gloves had dissolved and for £25 not worth sending back. The whole point of ordering 4xl was to give that bit more room when its really hot and the flexibility to use silk under gloves when it’s a bit chilly but not winter. It’s a real shame that good quality control is let down by not being able to put the right size label in the right product. "

I'm 5"1 and got the short leg and they're still VERY long to the point where the knee pads end up becoming shin pads. So be aware of that if you're a short ass like me. Also I agree with some other reviews I've seen, when you sit down, the jeans show your lower back. Thankfully my jacket covers me but yeah, bit of an oversight for a pair of pants that you'll use when sitting. That's why I'm giving it a 3 star not a 5."

"3 stars may sound like I'm not happy with theses jeans, I am. But I am slightly disappointed, for the money, Held could have done better. You only get knee protectors. No Kevlar lining. (My Furygan jeans give knee and hip protectors and Kevlar lining for much less money). Maybe leather jeans don't need the extra protection, but i still would have liked to have seen some value for my money. The vents on the thigh, mmm? waste of time. Tried them open and closed, not much in it. These could have been more useful as pockets. The pockets on the hip are too narrow. I do not have a hand like a 5 year old anymore so can only get 4 fingers in the pocket, not the thumb. Putting thing in the pocket is easy, getting them back out is not. That said, I like very much the look, the only descent leather riding jeans I could find that did not have ridiculous knee sliders. This is good, they are not for the track. Very comfortable, and good design that allows easy to fit touring boots underneath. Who knows about the TFL cool system and whether it works or not, this is England and it is still cold, (and Held gave no information about this with the product, it's only their USP!. What have I paid for?) Would I recommend? Difficult one, very expensive for what you get. "

"These are great summer gloves. I have small but wide hands and so can find alot of gloves too tight or too long. But I find these perfect. These are my second pair. I've had my old pair for over a year and the only reason I needed new is because the velcro has pulled the fabric bare. This is after riding really every day. Awesome for the price too. My other half has them too and he wheres them all year round with heated grips. Hope I can get them again next year. "

"Hi JTS - You will see all of my gear from my order history. Just back from 8 week tour of China and Tibet. Mens jacket performed well and was pretty waterproof, warm and comfortable. Only improvement would be to extend the liner with a flap to cover the area behind the main zip ... the most exposed area ! Mens trousers leaked badly after just 30 mins in the rain. The design guides water to the bottom of the zip - pretty useless. The ladies trousers are far better with an external flap covering the whole zip area. Gloves were the biggest disappointment. They were advertised as waterproof - but they only lasted about 30 mins in the rain until they were soaked through completely. In Tibet we were at 4000m and -4C with wet gloves .... a disaster and very cold. All in all - a great jacket, Trousers were good except the leaking zip but useless gloves. My wife's ladies set of gear was better, but of course she was protected on the back, so it had less exposure. Cheers Phil"

"I returned them for no other reason than the Alpinestars Drystar v2 trousers I bought them for, with the thought that I might upgrade them, do not in fact have hip pockets sewn in. It is not possible therefor to replace the standard soft foam (not very substantial in my opinion) pads in these trousers unless you either make a velcro attachable pocket for them, or stick velcro to the D30 pads (not easy). Again, they were substantial and a good size, the just can't be used on these trousers. "

"Beautifully constructed...beautiful quality leather...but the fit was inaccurate. By that I mean the waist was correct but the extended flap at the back just flapped about and left a big gap between it and my back. The leg proportions were too generous. I found that particularly in the thigh regions there simply was too much leather there, so the fit in that region was....just too generous. I exchanged these for a different style of leather jean that has the provision of attaching a belt. This replacement jean was described as being a "touring" jean as opposed to the Cobra 3 jeans having the title as being more race orientated. Well, that may well be, (although can't quite agree with this differentiation) and this unfortunate excess leather I referred to may have some connection with the fact that I was ordering quite a large size waist, which in all fairness may have influenced the generous cut I was referring to earlier.....and it may be that smaller waist sizes do not suffer from this affliction of being too generous a cut."

"I bought this to replace my old JTS waistcoat which had worn out after many years and ordered a 4xl, the same size as the old one. When it arrived, although it is the size stated on the website, it is four inches smaller than the old one and has smaller pockets. It is also quite a bit smaller around the armholes. Luckily I have lost enough weight in recent years that the new one still fits, just, so I decided to keep it. So if anyone is looking to replace one of the, now sadly discontinued, five button waistcoats, be aware that you may have to go up a size or two to get a good fit. Having said that it's still a very good waistcoat, just not as good as the old one. If it was is would get the full five stars."

"Ordered my first jeans and I had to return them as the armour in my usual "regular" length was down by my shins even with adjusting. The Lady on facebook suggested I tried a short leg, so I did and weirdly they seemed to offer better protection, I've not been a short leg since I was about 6 years old mind. I kept the jeans as after a 5 minute ride they seemed ok, however it was not until my first weeks commute I realised they are too short ( chilly ankles) and the knee armour seems to always want slip into my inside leg leaving my knees exposed. They seem quality but the knee armour adjustment & position is really poor, the regular length with higher knee armour that doesnt shift about would have had me returning for a couple more pairs. 3 stars because the returns service is outstanding, and the nice lady on Facebook was 5 star and as helpful as she could be, just a shame about the jeans fitting!"

"It just arrived. I was very excited. The good bit. Its well made and fits perfectly. I'm a work suit 38" and got this in a 40" to allow for back protection. And a fair price. Although the website does say it can have some variation in color mine came distinctly pink. As my 12 year old unkindly said "nice pink jacket Dad". I'd like a replacement that isn't pink. "Look great fit really well very comfy, now the bad and this is why the three stars, whilst trying them on found the zip on the left leg was broken, I was pretty upset as they were a perfect fit. Phoned JTS up, spoke to Toni I wasn't happy the options available where to return them for refund or try to get someone to repair them, I've since had them repaired and since then discovered that ne picked doesn't seem to be stitched up properly, one is smaller than the other unless this is supposed to be like that. I'm not sure they where a sale item but you pay extra £10 for larger size and £21 for delivery made them £116. I expected a perfect pair of trousers not having to mess around finding someone local who could repair them before I could wear them to be honest, bit disappointed."

"Excellent attention to customer satisfaction by JTS but regrettably the replacement gloves sent had the same issue as the previous pairs, namely the the backing of the knuckle guard on the right hand glove only digs into the hand causing discomfort. "Not bad and did the job for the short while I had them. I found them a bit long in the fingers, (the tips of the fingers kept catching on the clutch and brake levers until I got used to them) and not as warm as I had expected over a two hour journey in the cold. That said they were good value at £20, seem well made, comfortable and easy to get on, so I would recommend them for a half hour ride to work or so."

"I'm giving it 3 stars as it okay. not perfect but not rubbish. I bought these boots and use them daily and after 4 months, there is a bit of wear and tear. Like bottom of the boots, little bits are coming off and the outsole on front is pealing off. Good for use on weekends for daily boots, there are boots at least half of the price of these boots and you get same durability. Overall, the style and feeling is very good and comfortable in all weather conditions, but it aint that durable compare to boots worth £40."

"Currently trying to kick the World of Warcraft habit and get myself a life. Got myself back on the road with a 95 kawasakii zx6r. Bit more power than the 350 ypvs I had when last on the road, but then there is considerably more of me to cart around these days. Alnwick in Northumberland seems to have more motorcycle gear in its charity shops than any other town I know, and combined with Aldi's range of biker kit I was pretty much sorted.... Except for trews. So i ordered some JTS kit. they were too long, I know I have long legs but JTS long is longer than my long. They also did a good job of cutting me in half, more due to my wishful thinking than JTS size guide I must admit. I took advantage of their quite neat order again and return setup. The replacements arrived and are performing well although the legs were still long. I cheerfully snipped a couple of CM off the bottom, after all the bottoms will be tucked into the boots unless I am in an ambulance or I have pulled. Either way I won't care. They look the biz, the pouches for the knee pads are cool and my mum has promised to pay for them. Result! (mind you .. I am 57, mum is 90 and I think she has forgotten the promise)"

"Overall nice jacket, good quality, but had it on today as a second time and the zip is totally broken! As I'm saying jacket is nicely made ,but zip quality is the cheapest - you could see it that wouldn't last long. Plus if you in your journey you are screwed as there are only two buttons (top and bottom) on top of the zip, so you will be driving with open jacket until home which is not an option as chest cold guaranteed! Need to put it to repair as there is no point to send it back.."

"I bought the Richa Touareg jacket and trousers six months ago and have worn them everyday on my commute to work and on weekend rides. I would say I am satisfied with the jacket which is comfortable and warm, I can't say it is waterproof as the jacket has let the rain in on more than one occasion especially around the arms and shoulders. The trousers are disappointing, not very comfortable and very long in the leg. I started wearing my waterproof over trousers again soon after buying them as they aren't the best at keeping the rain out. Overall I would say the jacket is good for the price. Is ok at keeping the rain out in a shower or short bursts of rain but do expect to get wet in prolonged downpours. The trousers are warm but a long way from being waterproof."

"Great fit and plenty of stretch. The down side is the Velcro in the knee pocket is irritating and sharp. I have had to unpick and remove most of it just to wear them. Also the knee pads need a soft padded bit inside as after 30+ minutes of riding they feel like I'm kneeling on a brick. I've tried altering the position a number of times but I still have the same problem. "
