"not tried these in the rain so can not comment but i can say the fit on these is great.normally im a 34w,32 leg.i ordered a 34,regular and found a good snug fit.the 2 leg pockets are ideal, and the high waist at the back is good, helps to cut down draughts.overall a great pair of trousers,no complaints"

"A very well made and comfortable garment which, with the addition of the panels on each leg, works well with exhausts that are way to catch your leg on. As if yet I haven't had a chance to test them fully in the rain but it looks like they will perform well. They are really comfortable and can be worn on their own whilst still staying warm. "

"At 5'1 it is quite difficult to find any textile trousers where the kneepads land in the right place. I have worn these a few times now an each time the weather has been awful; the trousers, though, have been great! Always bone dry, no water up the leg when splashing through the puddles and the braces on my pair are great. They fit fairly tight for the size but the length is great. The hip pads are very thin, the knee pads arent too bad and both can be changed for thicker ones if you desire (D30 for the win). Would recommend these to anyone, funny shape or otherwise. Thank you JTS."

"Great pair of trousers but small fitting, I'm a 38 waist but wanted these to wear over my work trousers so I ordered a 42 regular which were still a little tight but ok, length was good, braces are ok and do the job, overall a good buy and well worth the money in my opinion."

"Excellent and love them. I’m tall and had an issue with trousers riding over the top of my boots but these are a great length. I went for extra long and they are plenty long enough. I’m a 38” waist and tried the 40” to allow them to be worn over trousers but they were too tight. I then went for a 42” and they are just right and I have waist straps which you can adjust and tighten and on. Not tried them in the wet but they are really warm. Really great service with next day delivery."

"Elastic braces are useless, wouldn't hold up your grannies draws, I did away with the lot and put proper ones on. very comfy to wear, it needs to be very cold before i put the extra linings in. They stood up to 2.5 hour's thunder storms, legs as dry as a bone. now changed bikes to feet forward, trouser legs too short now by quite a lot, I will have to buy another pair, real bugger, but that's life, suck it up, I knocked one star off for the cr*p braces."

"Very nice waterproof trousers, had to take the inners out as too hot and a little tight with them in. Good quality materials well made lots of pockets they also fasten to the back of the jacket I bought. The only thing wrong I could find is the popper is not that tight so comes undone. After wearing for a while I think I should have gone for the next length up on leg size but that was my mistake not a fault on the trouser. Overall a very nice and comfy set of trousers, they go well with the JTS Urban Waterproof Jacket."

"Brilliant trousers im 6'6 and the extra length on these are brill means. I actually have something that fits and does not ride up my leg when I get on the bike. Not only are they a brilliant fit but iv been out in -2 weather and they have kept me warm and toasty. (I have not been out in the rain yet but I am pretty dam sure they will be as they are 100% waterproof). If and when I need another piece of clothing for my bike I will coming back here for them for sure."

"Update to my post purchase review, after 5000 miles in heat of the sun, torrential rain and recently freezing cold. What a trouser!!! No signs of wear, comfortably warm down to -5 Celsius(+8 without liner), survived 5 hours of heavy rain (thanks Alps) with no leak."

"Being a 32"W x 34"L, I went for 34"W x extra long leg. The fit (including the liner) over my work trousers is just right. The length on the bike means they stay where they're meant to be, at my ankles. They have room to move and are really warm, even 50 miles at -1, I didn't feel the cold at all. Haven't tried them in REAL rain yet, but so far, very good. Will seriously consider the jacket when my current one gives up. The service from JTS was excellent. Thanks."

"Fit is not that good. Long in leg for regular fit. Kevlar liner seems long for leg as well."

"Hi Paul, sorry you wasnt happy with the length. The Tourmax are slighly more generous than some of our other textile trousers. They do come 5 different leg lengths though so we can get the correct fit. Thank you for your feedback Paul and we would be happy to help you in the future if you need us :-) "

"I bought these for a 2500 tour of Europe and have used for commuting for another circa 2000 miles and they performed very well. Rode for a full day in the rain and they remained waterproof and my legs bone dry - result!, I also rode for many days in 30 deg heat and although hot I don't think any protective/waterproof trousers could have done much better. The armour seems robust, quite easy to adjust, although the fastener which keeps it in place could do with being a little bit more robust. I like the coverage of the hip armour as it extends down the thigh, but is not bulky and does not get in the way. The vents are quite small and do not seem to make a great deal of difference whether open or not. I love the fact that you can get them in a range of lengths, great for a tall rider like me. I have finally found a pair of trousers which dont ride up! All in all seem like great value for money and are holding up well. Would buy again."

"Just back from a round trip of 147 miles, very good, and comfortable, pockets all good and will be useful. Just one niggle, when I took the trousers from the bag something dropped onto the floor, what's that I thought to my self?! As it turned out, it was part of the zip ( the zip still worked) but the tang to pull it up and down was gone, a minor detail, but on a brand new item, slightly disappointing !"

"A great pair of motocycle trousers, well made and of good quality and value. They seem slightly tighter fit for the size, but that's how I prefer them with closer fit. Overall well pleased with the trousers and as usual with the service provided by JTS"

"It's funny feeling to order trousers that are borderline too long after being through 10 pairs all too short. Good quality, feel/look comparable to big expensive brands, but they FIT very tall person. Time will show quality. Adjustable knee protector height is always +."

"Bought these to go with the strike jacket, great fit and levels of protection. Some great features for touring, the cargo pockets are great for travel documents, passports etc. 100% waterproof with detachable thermal liner works great with some good venting features for those warmer climates. Great for commuting all year round; very impressed with them. Please don't spend any cash until you have seen the JTS range. Great service in the shop too!"
23-Feb-2017 Bob Bralee from UK
"Well made trousers for the price and as ever great service from JTS only slight criticism is that the pop stud fastener on the waist is not strong enough and I will have to either put a second popper or replace the original with a more heavy duty item."
In reply JTS wrote:
"Thanks for the feedback Bob, we haven't heard of this same issue with the popper so it may be slightly faulty. If so and you live locally to us, please visit our shop and we can replace the popper for you whilst you wait. Alternatively, you could return the trousers to us and we would replace the popper and send them back to you free of charge."

"Warm and probably reasonably waterproof (though I often find trousers don't stay waterproof for long - hence this purchase). I hadn't realised that the ankle zips are at the back (someone probably thought that's make them more waterproof). Being a bit overweight and less flexible myself, I find this positioning a bit awkward."
